    • Where something appears to be different when viewed from another angle.
    • So the space constantly changes - concealing & revealing itself.
  • Focus on materials & form
    • There is no major impact on the environment (Hang Zhou Triaxial Field)
  • Hang Zhou Triaxial Field
    • Rather than designing an "object" building, it merges landscape & architecture
    • Triaxially reinforced, post-tension concrete plane.
    • Gentle folds to create the space below
    • Slices reveal mean entrances and openings into the landscape
  • Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
    • Five interconnected structures as opposed to single massive expansion
    • Five built 'lenses' form new spaces and angles of vision
    • Movement through landscape & threaded between the light openings, exhilarating new experiences will be formed
    • Circulation & exhibition merge as one can look from one level to another, inside to outside.
